Root Canals in St. Francisville

Root Canal Procedure

Oral surgery is needed to successfully clear out bacteria and decay inside of the tooth. The top of the tooth is removed; this allows your dentist to access the root canals. Next, the canals are thoroughly cleaned, all decay and bacteria is removed. Once the tooth is disinfected the tooth is filled with sterile material and the tooth is closed. In most cases, a dental crown is also placed over the tooth for added protection.
